XHC3135C-ABF Long-Range Colour Night Vision Camera
4,200 m detection at 0.0009 lux colour night vision, ONVIF/RTSP fixed-mount surveillance camera with motorised auto back focus.
XHC3135C-ABF Technical Overview
What It Is
The XHC3135C-ABF is a long-range, ultra-low-light electro-optical surveillance camera built around a starlight-grade CMOS sensor and a long-focal-length lens with motorised Auto Back Focus, engineered to hold full-colour imaging in near-total darkness without an infrared illuminator.
Performance
Under NVESD test conditions using a 1.7 × 0.5 m human target, the camera detects at 4,080–4,200 m, recognises at 1,020–1,060 m, and identifies at 630–660 m, while holding full colour down to 0.0009 lux at 25 fps and as low as 0.00005 lux at reduced sensitivity — all without auxiliary illumination.
Key Technical Features
- ONVIF-compliant streaming over RTSP with PELCO protocol support for third-party VMS integration
- 72 dB native dynamic range, extending to 100 dB with Wide Dynamic Range enabled
- AI-based body detection with global, cross-border, and regional alert zones
- RJ45 Ethernet with optional WiFi and 4G connectivity for remote or unwired sites
Platform Compatibility
The camera is suited to fixed-mast and tower installations for border surveillance, perimeter security, maritime monitoring, and critical-infrastructure protection, and integrates directly into ONVIF-based video management systems without additional hardware.
Full-Colour Starlight Sensor
A large-format CMOS sensor tuned for starlight conditions keeps the image in colour long after ordinary cameras would drop to grainy monochrome or need an IR illuminator. That colour information is often what lets an operator tell a vehicle from foliage or identify clothing at range.
Remote-Adjustable Focus
The ABF motor drives focus electronically from the control interface, so installers don't need physical access to the lens barrel after mounting. That matters most on masts, towers, or rooftops where reaching the camera again is slow or unsafe.
Long-Focal-Length Optics
A long-focal-length lens narrows the field of view in exchange for reach, pushing usable detection distance well past what a standard fixed-lens security camera can resolve. It is the optical trade-off that makes single-camera coverage of a long fence line or open approach practical.
Configurable AI Alert Zones
AI body detection can be split into global, cross-border, and regional alert zones so operators aren't watching one undifferentiated feed. Manual zoom extends how far out the AI trigger itself reaches, not just how far a human reviewer can see.

Designed for the Field
Long-Range Perimeter and Border Surveillance
Provides continuous full-colour situational awareness across open perimeters and border lines after dark, without relying on visible IR illumination.
Maritime and Critical Infrastructure Monitoring
Extends coastal and facility-perimeter monitoring into low-light and night conditions where conventional daylight cameras lose usable image detail.
Fixed-Mast Integration for Security Networks
Integrators mount the camera on masts, towers, or elevated structures and bring it into existing ONVIF-based command-and-control and VMS platforms.
Border & Perimeter Surveillance
Long stretches of fence line or border terrain lose contrast to conventional cameras once the sun goes down. The XHC3135C-ABF is built to keep a usable colour picture across that same ground after dark, without a visible illuminator marking the camera's position. Detection out to 4,200 m and colour sensitivity down to 0.0009 lux support continuous coverage of long, straight sightlines from a single fixed mast. AI body detection with cross-border and regional alert zones lets operators set automated triggers instead of watching a static feed.
- Detection Range 4,200 m
- Recognition Range 1,060 m
- Min Illumination 0.0009 lux
- Operating Range −40°C to +70°C
Maritime & Infrastructure Monitoring
Coastal facilities and infrastructure sites need reliable night coverage over open water or wide yard areas where permanent lighting isn't practical. The same starlight sensor used for border monitoring applies equally well to maritime approach surveillance and perimeter fencing around plants and depots. 72 dB native dynamic range, extending to 100 dB with WDR enabled, keeps the picture usable against reflective water and mixed dusk or dawn lighting. RJ45, WiFi, and optional 4G connectivity support both permanent cabled sites and temporary or remote installations.
- Dynamic Range 72 dB, 100 dB with WDR
- Identification Range 660 m
- Connectivity RJ45, WiFi, optional 4G
- Max Illumination 100,000 lux
Fixed-Mast VMS Integration
Integrators upgrading a surveillance network need a camera that drops into existing video management software without custom drivers. The XHC3135C-ABF uses the same protocols found across most commercial and government VMS deployments. ONVIF compliance, RTSP streaming, and PELCO protocol support cover the majority of third-party platforms, with an SDK available on request for deeper custom integration. Auto Back Focus lets the same unit be commissioned and refocused remotely once it's on the mast.
- Protocol Support ONVIF, RTSP, PELCO
- Focus Motorised Auto Back Focus
- SDK Available on request
- Storage 32 GB default, up to 128 GB
