XHZ4-1550 Hybrid Zoom Low-Light All-in-One Camera
0.001 lux ultra-low-light sensitivity, 15–50 mm hybrid optical/digital zoom, compact UAV-payload EO camera.
System Detail
What It Is
The XHZ4-1550C-EN is a hybrid zoom, ultra-low-light electro-optical camera that combines a continuous optical and digital zoom lens with a high-sensitivity BSI CMOS imaging sensor in a single compact payload. It is engineered for UAV platforms, mobile observation systems, and embedded electro-optical integration where long-range, full-colour night imaging is required without active illumination.
Performance
The camera achieves minimum illumination of 0.001 lux at 25 fps, extending to 0.0001 lux at 5 fps, with a detection range of 1650–5500 m, recognition range of 410–1380 m, and identification range of 250–860 m against a 1.7 × 0.5 m target under standard visible-light observation conditions. The hybrid zoom system spans a 15–50 mm optical range combined with 8× digital zoom, and dynamic range reaches 100 dB with WDR enabled.
Key Technical Features
- H.264 / H.265 encoding over a dedicated Ethernet interface with RTSP and ONVIF streaming support
- Onboard AI recognition for body, facial, vehicle, and animal target classes
- 32 GB eMMC internal storage for onboard video recording and snapshot capture
- Electronic image stabilisation, 3D noise reduction, and fog penetration enhancement
Platform Compatibility
The compact ≤405 g housing is sized for DJI-class UAV payload integration and industrial inspection drones, while its Ethernet, RTSP, and ONVIF output combined with a −40 °C to +70 °C operating range also suit mobile observation platforms and embedded OEM electro-optical systems.
Hybrid Optical-Digital Zoom
Combines a 15–50 mm continuous optical zoom lens with 8× digital zoom in a single hybrid system. This gives operators both wide-area situational coverage and long-range target detail from one airframe or mount.
4th-Generation Low-Light Imaging
A high-sensitivity BSI CMOS sensor delivers full-colour night imaging down to 0.0001 lux without active illumination. Operators retain usable colour video from daylight through to starlight conditions.
Onboard AI Recognition
Built-in AI classifies body, facial, vehicle, and animal targets directly on the camera. This offloads target identification from the host platform and speeds up operator response.
Networked Compact Payload
Ethernet connectivity with RTSP/ONVIF streaming and 32 GB of onboard eMMC storage let the camera drop into existing VMS infrastructure or record standalone. Its ≤405 g housing keeps integration simple across UAV and mobile platforms.

Designed for the Field
UAV & Drone Payload Observation
Provides long-range, full-colour night imaging for drone-mounted surveillance and reconnaissance missions.
Mobile Ground Observation
Supports vehicle-mounted and portable observation platforms requiring compact, low-power electro-optical imaging.
OEM & Industrial Integration
Integrates into industrial inspection drones and custom embedded electro-optical systems via networked Ethernet output.
UAV & Drone Payload Observation
Mounted as a lightweight optical payload, the XHZ4-1550C-EN gives UAV operators continuous day-to-night colour observation across wide-area and long-range scenes. Its hybrid zoom lets a single airframe cover perimeter sweeps and close target study without a lens change. The ≤405 g housing and 1.92 W power draw suit DJI-class and industrial inspection drone payload budgets. Starlight-class sensitivity down to 0.0001 lux keeps colour imagery usable through dusk and full darkness.
- Weight ≤ 405 g
- Power Consumption 1.92 W @ 25 fps
- Detection Range 1650–5500 m
- Min. Illumination 0.001 lux @ 25 fps
Mobile Ground Observation
Vehicle-mounted and portable observation teams use the same hybrid zoom engine for checkpoint monitoring, convoy overwatch, and rapid-deployment surveillance. The 15–50 mm optical range with 8× digital zoom lets a single unit hold wide situational awareness or narrow in on a distant subject. RTSP and ONVIF streaming over Ethernet lets the camera drop directly into existing VMS infrastructure without custom drivers. A −40 °C to +70 °C operating range keeps the unit functional across extreme field conditions.
- Optical Zoom 15–50 mm
- Digital Zoom 8×
- Streaming Protocol RTSP / ONVIF
- Operating Temperature −40 °C to +70 °C
OEM & Embedded Integration
System integrators building industrial inspection drones or custom electro-optical platforms can embed the XHZ4-1550C-EN directly via its Ethernet and expansion interfaces. Onboard AI recognition offloads target classification from the host platform's processing budget. The J6 expansion interface exposes USB, RS-485, and UART for secondary development, and 32 GB of onboard eMMC storage supports standalone recording without a network link. SDK access is available on request for deeper platform integration.
