Star-Navi's XHC1302 series delivers sub-millilux DVP camera modules across four focal lengths for UAV, FPV, and robotics integrators.

Small unmanned platforms keep asking payload engineers for the same tradeoff: more night capability without more weight. As drone programs push flight endurance and mission range further with each design cycle, the camera cores feeding those airframes have had to shrink in size and power draw while holding onto the low light performance that reconnaissance and border missions depend on.

Star-Navi's new XHC1302 series is built around that constraint. The bare DVP camera module ships without housing, weighs under 30 grams, and draws less than half a watt on a single five volt rail, figures that sit comfortably inside the mass and power budgets integrators work with on small FPV airframes and medium reconnaissance drones. Four lens options, from a wide 2.8 millimeter field of view down to an 8 millimeter long range configuration, cover everything from close quarters navigation to standoff detection past a kilometer, and each ships in black and white or full color depending on whether raw sensitivity or scene color matters more to the mission.

That range shows up directly in how the module gets used. Search and rescue crews flying small UAVs get a wide field of view for scanning terrain at night without swapping lenses between search and inspection passes. Perimeter security teams get a camera that keeps working as ambient light drops toward full darkness, without an active illuminator giving away the platform's position. Counter-UAS operators working the long end of the lineup get enough standoff range to classify an incoming target well before it closes distance.

The advantage integrators point to is less about any single spec and more about the module's footprint. A single connector carries video, power, and synchronization together, and the module outputs standard digital video that most embedded processors can capture without a custom driver. That combination lets a payload team drop ultra low light imaging into an existing airframe design rather than redesigning around a bulkier camera.

With four focal lengths and two color options already available, Star-Navi is positioning the XHC1302 platform as a standard low light camera core for UAV and robotics integrators who need proven night performance without the size and weight penalty of a housed camera system.
