The XHP3-HZ-D shares the same hybrid optical-plus-digital zoom engine and Super Night Vision imaging core as the pedestal XHP3-HZ-P, reaching the same 1,650 to 5,500 meter detection band and 860 meter identification distance under NVESD methodology, inside a ceiling or pendant-mount dome housing weighing 6.3 kilograms. Horizontal rotation speed up to 200 degrees per second, faster than the pedestal variant, is tuned for the shorter engagement distances typical of facility and transportation sites, where a target can cross the field of view in seconds rather than the minutes available on an open perimeter.

Platform Compatibility for Indoor and Outdoor Sites

Rated IP66 and operating from minus 30 to plus 60 degrees Celsius, the XHP3-HZ-D covers both outdoor facility perimeters and semi-enclosed transportation environments like station platforms and vehicle depots from a single product line. ONVIF, RTSP, and PELCO-D/P support over RJ45 and RS485 keeps the dome aligned with the same VMS and access control infrastructure used across facility security deployments, and 255 presets with patrol, cruise, and watchman functions let a single unit cover multiple fixed watch positions on a rotating schedule rather than requiring dedicated cameras for each.

As urban and industrial security programmes push starlight-capable color imaging further into compact, ceiling-mounted form factors, dome PTZ platforms that do not sacrifice detection range to fit that footprint are likely to displace fixed-camera-plus-PTZ combinations in facility designs where mounting space and architectural integration matter as much as raw coverage distance.
