XHS1-NVG64-FS System Detail
What It Is
The XHS1-NVG64-FS is a binocular, helmet-mounted digital fusion night vision goggle from Star-Navi / Night Pulser, combining a low-light CMOS imaging channel with an uncooled thermal infrared channel through onboard digital image registration and fusion processing, classified as a Binocular Digital Fusion Night Vision Goggle system. It is built for night terrain, personnel, and vehicle observation, plus close-distance equipment operation and maintenance tasks under low-light and no-light conditions.
Performance
Under test conditions of visibility greater than 8 km, 60% relative humidity, and a 3 °C target-background temperature difference with no moon or stars, the XHS1-NVG64-FS achieves a recognition distance of ≥120 m in Low-Light Mode, ≥200 m in Infrared Mode, and ≥200 m in Fusion Mode against a medium-contrast target. The thermal channel delivers NETD of ≤40 mK at F#1.0, the low-light CMOS channel reaches 76 dB dynamic range (110 dB in HDR), and both channels operate at 50 fps/Hz.
Key Technical Features
- Four selectable imaging modes: Low-Light, Thermal, Fusion, and Fusion Outline enhancement
- 800 × 600 low-light CMOS sensor paired with a 640 × 512 VOx uncooled thermal detector
- Adjustable interpupillary distance, diopter correction, and a flip-up host mechanism
- 18650 rechargeable battery platform rated for up to 6 hours of continuous fusion-mode operation
Platform Compatibility
The XHS1-NVG64-FS mounts to standard head-mounted platforms with front/rear, height, and pitch adjustment for individual fit, and ships as a complete kit with charger, carrying bag, and spare battery. It is intended for personnel and vehicle observation, close-distance equipment operation, and maintenance tasks in professional night field operations.
Dual-Channel Fusion Imaging
The XHS1-NVG64-FS merges a low-light CMOS channel with an uncooled thermal channel through onboard image registration. Operators switch between low-light, thermal, fusion, and fusion outline views to match the observation task at hand.
Adaptive Thermal Image Correction
Automatic, manual, and background correction modes keep the thermal channel calibrated during extended use. Black hot, white hot, and pseudo-colour palettes let operators choose the clearest thermal presentation for the scene.
Ergonomic Helmet-Mounted Fit
Adjustable interpupillary distance, diopter correction, and a flip-up host mechanism let the goggle adapt to individual operators. Front, rear, height, and pitch adjustment on the head-mounted connector refine the mounting position.
Extended Field Endurance
A rechargeable battery platform with reverse-polarity protection and an onboard status display supports long-duration field operations. A spare battery and dedicated charger are included as standard accessories.

Designed for the Field
Personnel and Vehicle Observation
The XHS1-NVG64-FS provides fused low-light and thermal observation for identifying personnel and vehicles across varying night conditions.
Close-Distance Equipment Operation
Low-Light Mode and close-focus optics support maintenance, equipment checks, and reading tasks without removing night vision protection.
Extended Night Field Operations
A rechargeable battery platform and rugged construction support multi-hour patrols and overwatch positions through changing night conditions.
Personnel and Vehicle Observation
Night patrols and checkpoint operations need reliable identification of personnel and vehicles across varying light conditions, from moonless dark to residual ambient glow. A single imaging channel often fails when thermal contrast is low or when foliage and glass obscure a clear heat signature. The XHS1-NVG64-FS's fusion mode overlays thermal heat signatures onto the low-light scene view, letting operators cross-reference both channels in real time. Automatic, manual, and background thermal correction keep the image stable as scene conditions shift.
- Imaging Modes Low-Light, Thermal, Fusion, Fusion Outline
- Thermal Sensitivity ≤40 mK NETD
- Low-Light Sensor 800 × 600 CMOS
- Mounting Helmet-Mounted, Adjustable
Close-Distance Equipment Operation
Maintenance, equipment checks, and reading tasks in the field require a clear, close-focus view without removing night vision protection. Standard low-light-only devices often lose detail at close range or under mixed lighting. Low-Light Mode brings the CMOS channel's fine detail to close-distance tasks down to a 250 mm focus distance, while diopter and interpupillary adjustment keep the image sharp for each operator. The flip-up host mechanism lets operators quickly switch to unaided vision when needed.
- Focus Distance 250 mm to ∞
- Diopter Adjustment +3 D to −5 D
- Interpupillary Distance Adjustable
- Flip Function Supported
Extended Night Field Operations
Multi-hour patrols and overwatch positions demand imaging equipment that keeps working as batteries drain and conditions change from dusk to full dark. Equipment that fails mid-mission or requires frequent battery swaps compromises operational tempo. A rechargeable 18650 battery platform with reverse-polarity protection and an onboard status display supports extended fusion-mode operation, with a spare battery and charger included in the standard kit. The system self-tests at power-on to confirm readiness before deployment.
- Battery Life ≥ 6 hours (Fusion Mode)
- Battery Type 18650, Rechargeable
- Protection Reverse-Polarity Protected
- Self-Test Power-On / Command
