Star-Navi introduces the XUW4008C-B binocular and XUW4008C-M monocular underwater cameras, bringing stereo depth perception to subsea platforms to 500 meters.

SHENZHEN, China, September 15, 2026. Star-Navi has launched the XUW4008C series, a pair of deep water camera systems for underwater robotic and subsea platforms operating to 500 meters depth. The series includes the XUW4008C-B binocular stereo camera and the XUW4008C-M monocular camera, giving integrators a choice between full stereo depth perception and a lighter single channel option depending on the platform and mission.
Both cameras share the same imaging core: full time color sensors rated to 0.001 lux with supplementary lighting off, autofocus, and a titanium alloy housing with a sapphire glass front window rated for 500 meters depth at a 1.5 safety factor. The binocular XUW4008C-B adds a second optical channel and a wide 170 degree field of view, giving AUVs, UUVs, and ROVs genuine stereo vision for navigation, obstacle avoidance, and 3D scene reconstruction in low visibility water. The monocular XUW4008C-M trims that to a single channel and roughly half the weight, suited to platforms where payload budget matters more than depth perception.
Both models connect over 100Base-TX Ethernet using ONVIF and RTSP, encode in H.264 and H.265, and include 32 gigabytes of onboard storage for missions where topside bandwidth is limited. Star-Navi is offering both models with its proprietary VMS client for teams that want an out of box viewing and recording setup, or as camera modules for platform manufacturers integrating their own control software.
