Star-Navi Launches XRAM Stealth Materials Range Covering Radar Absorbing Agents and Coatings

Editorial Team

Star-Navi announces the XRAM stealth materials range, covering radar absorbing agents and coatings across 2 to 18 GHz in standard, high-temperature, and powder agent configurations for aerospace, UAV, naval, and industrial electromagnetic management applications.

HONG KONG, China, 28 May 2026 — Star-Navi (NDL) today announced the commercial availability of the XRAM stealth materials range, a portfolio of radar absorbing agents and coating systems developed for electromagnetic signature reduction across aerospace, UAV, naval, and industrial applications. The range introduces three product series that together address the full workflow from absorbing agent formulation through to finished coating application across standard and high-temperature operating environments.

Three-Series Product Range Overview

The XRAM range is organised across three distinct product series. The XRAM-A Series provides functional radar absorbing powder agents in four grades spanning 2 to 18 GHz, developed for integration into customer-formulated coatings, composite matrix materials, and electromagnetic shielding structures. Reflection loss for the XRAM-A Series reaches -10 dB in the highest-absorption grades, with particle sizes from 4.5 to 27 micrometres across the range and bulk density from 0.5 to 2.0 grams per cubic centimetre. The XRAM-C Series provides three ready-to-apply radar absorbing coating grades for standard operating temperature environments, covering S, C, X, and Ku band frequencies with reflection loss of up to -3.5 dB in coatings from 0.40 to 0.60 mm thickness and surface density as low as 1.1 kg per square metre. The XRAM-CH Series extends the coating range to high-temperature environments, maintaining radar absorbing performance and coating integrity at up to 300 degrees Celsius across the 4 to 10 GHz band from a 0.40 mm coating with surface density below 1.1 kg per square metre, addressing propulsion-adjacent structures and engine compartment surfaces that standard coating systems cannot treat.

Technology Foundation

All three XRAM series share a common technology foundation in the radar absorbing agent surface modification process and controlled microstructure optimisation techniques developed by Star-Navi for improved absorption performance, environmental resistance, and matrix compatibility relative to conventional absorbing agents. The XRAM-C and XRAM-CH coating series additionally incorporate coating formulation system optimisation and spray process development that translates absorbing agent performance into consistent coating results at production scale. Sample-based coating process support is available for both coating series to allow programme engineers to validate application and curing parameters against platform-specific substrates before committing to production quantities.

Target Applications and Markets

The XRAM range addresses radar signature reduction requirements across four primary application domains. Aerospace and UAV platforms benefit from XRAM-C and XRAM-CH coatings for fuselage, wing, and propulsion-adjacent surface treatment, and from XRAM-A agents for stealth composite structural integration. Naval platforms and maritime structures can deploy XRAM-C coatings on superstructure surfaces under salt spray and humidity conditions that the corrosion-resistant formulation is designed to withstand. Industrial and commercial electromagnetic management applications including wind turbine blade structures, communication tower panels, and microwave chamber linings are supported by the broadband frequency coverage of both the coating and powder agent product lines. Custom formulation development for specific frequency band, substrate, or environmental requirements is available through the Star-Navi stealth materials engineering team.

Availability and Procurement

All three XRAM series are available from stock in standard packaging configurations of 1 kg, 5 kg, and 10 kg. Custom packaging and volume options are available on request. Evaluation samples, technical datasheets, and application process consultation are available to qualified programme engineers, system integrators, and coating formulators through Star-Navi's stealth materials sales channels at sales@star-navi.net or via the corporate procurement portal at star-navi.net.
